The World’s Best Slime!
Non-glue, easy-to-use, and won’t stain your hands.
Go beyond glue slime and make the world’s best slime using Spangler’s Slime Art. Each kit comes with 1 liter of high quality PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) solution with your choice of coloring. What makes our slime formulation unlike anything else on the market is the addition of stabilizing agents that help to reduce the growth of bacteria while preserving the stretchy, gooey properties of slime that everyone loves.
How does Steve Spangler’s Slime Art work?
It’s like microscopic spaghetti – long chains of slippery, slimy molecules called a polymer. The Activator Solution links together long polymer chains to form the world’s best slime. Keep your slime in a zipper-lock bag for safe storage. Keep off of carpet, wood surfaces, or anywhere slime will damage.
What does it teach?
Making slime is a great way to introduce the concepts of changes in states of matter (from a liquid to a solid), to demonstrate the process of cross-linking long chains of molecules, and to explore the science of polymers. Making slime is a perfect Halloween activity. Use slime to teach students about states of matter as two liquids mix to become a solid.

It was stellar!!! I requested to pick my order and it was ready sooner than expected. When I got to their warehouse, Josh showed me some really cool dried art pieces made from Slime Art! It was like the Rise Window of Slime! Smart man Josh- I bought a set of six slimes!! A very happily purchased up-sell!!
I attended Science in the Rockies in 2012 and have been doing camps and family nights and anything else I can to bring the joy of science and math and art to the masses!
I’m excited to share Steve Spangler science with my family at our annual reunion at The Carpenter Ranch in Hayden, and with my new community of friends and family, the Syrian refugees in City Heights, near San Diego!! The idea of the 1200 resettled Syrians laughing, learning, and loving science makes me very happy! If I am given permission I will share photos with you all!
Great Customer Service! Great products!!

I would like to do this with my daisy scouts. Can I easily measure it so each girl can make her own slime?

It’s very easy! If you purchase the Shaker Cups (sold separately), it makes it even easier. The instructions provided will give you exact portions and the cups will show the measurements. There’s no guess work!

Hi:
About 8-10 years ago, I bought the clear slime kit (PVA and activator) several times.Kids added food coloring and it worked great. More recently, I bought the SuperSlime and the food coloring didn’t absorb and made a sticky mess.
Do you still sell the original (not Super)?
Thanks

Lori, Thanks for the question. We just sell the Slime Art at the moment. We do sell the Slime Art in a clear version where color can be added. Here is a link to that product: https://dev.staging.sss.co134.com/store/super-slime.html
Have a great upcoming weekend. Joshua

Question
Jeannie –
How much slime would I need for 30 kids to each have a little (in a ziplock bag) to play with? Thanks!

joshlittrell –
Jeannie, thanks for the question. I would say at least 2 oz of slime would be good for each kid to put into a ziplock bag. A liter of slime is equal to 33.8 oz. With that being said I would suggest at least 2 liters for the group. If you want the kids to make more slime I would suggest our gallon size. Have fun with the slime.

I got clear slime by accident for my preschoolers. What can we do with clear slime? Can we add coloring?

joshlittrell –
Shelly – I did see that you placed an order for the clear slime and a separate order for the Color Fizzers. When adding the Color Fizzers, make sure to add it to the Slime Activator and shake before combining it with the Slime. Have fun with the Slime project.

When I open the slime package the instructions were great. So I tried to make it and as soon as I closed the latches to shake it it overflowed. And so I kept shaking and I gave it another try but then I opened it it stuck all over my hands and broke so easily. It was not stretchy at all like advertised on the package.

Question
Jesse Dowling –
The slime kit came with conflicting instructions and did not seem to work at all. There are 2 bottles- one blue and one clear- then a very small amount of ‘activator’ powder. The instruction cards said to mix 1 tsp of powder to 1 oz of fluid. there is only maybe a tsp. of powder? then when we did add it the powder congealed and would not mix. The powder then says that it is mixed at 1tsp. to 1/2 a bottle of fluid.
I sat down to make slime with my grand son and it was a huge failure. How can this work when the kits instructions don’t even agree with themselves?

Can I purchase additional super slime activator powder? We just got our 1st box and it was slime, we have lots of bottled “slime” but only had enough activator to make a tiny bit.

M Val Triboullier –
Hello, i dont understand well, with this product you can make slime??? Or this is slime allready to play????
If i would like to do slime, can you tell me how and which products i might need.
Thanks

You make the slime yourself by mixing the pre-colored PVA solution to the cross-linking activator. Once the slime is made, the kids can play with it. When they are done, they can leave it out and it will create Slime Art once it is fully dry. One kit provides you with everything you need to make slime. I suggest buying a couple different colors of slime to make your slime art.

Question
Heath Walters –
What is the proper storage process for any slime ingredients I have left over? Can I freeze it?
(0) (0) Watch Unwatch
lisabrooks –
If stored properly, the product will last approximately one year. You will need to make sure it is stored at room temperature with the a tight seal to the caps. Be sure to avoid touching the inside of the caps or touching the lid of the bottle. Germs can effect the product. We do not recommend freezing the product or storing it anywhere where the product can get too cold. This will effect the product and may make it unusable.
